I went and got a much needed pedicure tonight.
I've read of some bad pedicure experiences, and some really cute ones, but today, mine was just plain wonderful. My only complaint is that I really wish I knew what those ladies were saying. When they glance up at you, say something quietly to their co-workers, and then they all look at you and giggle, it really makes you wonder. At one point they started asking me about my baby (pointing at my protruding belly, of course) and I'm not sure, but I might have agreed to calling them when I go into labor. Or maybe I'm supposed to name him after their shop. Quite honestly, I have no idea what I agreed to when I smiled and nodded, but they seemed pleased.
Anyway, aren't them toes pretty?
Now then... guess who needs a pedicure?
My girls.
Because Crayola marker pedicures just don't do the trick.
But Mommy, they're LOVELY!! I do enjoy a good pedicure now again--good for you!!
ReplyDeleteI love pedicures anytime, but especially when I'm pregnant. My feet don't look that pretty though, my cankles and sausage toes...ie swollen:)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...and I totally agree about wanting to know what's being said. Somehow it always seems rude to me--I imagine what my mom would say to me if I started to talk to a friend in another language in front of other people. She would NOT approve!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, your little girlies need some pedicure love. And fast!
Their little pedicures may not look the best, but they are sure are creative :-)
ReplyDeleteBTW - I am impressed that at this point in your pregnancy, you still have ankles and toes. My ankles became cankles and my feet were so swollen you could hardly tell I even had toes on the end of them. :-)
I think you are ready to have this baby, now. I think the pedicure is the most important thing. Above the name, nursery, everything! You're going to be looking at those toes all throughout labor! & I really am being totally serious!
ReplyDeletePretty toes, friend! So glad you got some pampering, it's quite nice treatment, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThis post made me laugh! I totally know what you mean about not understanding the whisper conversations. I knew I should have shaved my legs before I went...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! But aren't you missing some flowers there, missy?
ReplyDeleteI tried to give myself a pedicure on the side of the tub when I was 8months pregnant. Not the greatest idea as, being top heavy, I slipped trying to get out! I had a huge bruise on my thigh for 5 weeks! Michael asked me why I just didn't go get it done? Wow, what a novel idea??!!! Lesson learned, so good for you!!!
ReplyDeleteDarling toes...even the crayola ones...lol
ReplyDeleteI had a strict rule that my toes must be properly pedicured for labor. Some how I was convinced that I would spend the whole time looking at my toes in the stirrups thinking "why didn't I get a pedicure!"
ReplyDeleteMy toes are the very same color! Is is called Cherry something?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad for your pampering treat!
Love and prayers,
holly
Hey Angie,
ReplyDeleteThose are the Wal-Mart special. I can't believe how well they turned out! Definitely doing it again next year.
I love your pedicure and am laughing out loud at your girls toes. My girls always think they need their toenails painted. I just prefer for them to let me do the painting...it doesn't come out of the carpet easily. Remember that crayon on your quilt? Yep, I have a similar story involving nail polish and the ending wasn't nearly as happy as yours.
