At this moment

It's 11:54 a.m.

I just took these pictures.

Chloe is crying because I just changed her diaper and then had to put her down for a minute.
Addie is on the floor, frantically signing her autograph on a stack of papers. This is her game lately; in a few minutes she'll begin walking around the house handing them out to imaginary people.

Wearing only a diaper, Brody has taken the cushions off of the couch and is having a blast jumping and diving onto the floor.
I have banana bread baking in the oven.

Here I am: still in my jammies, glasses on, unshowered.
This is my family room - it's a mess. "Martha Speaks" is on in the background.
Welcome to my life as a stay-at-home mom. LOVE IT!

What are YOU doing at this moment?

  1. Are you just trying to prove to me that you're not SuperMom? lol! :)
This is a GREAT idea. I could post something very similar today (or any day). It's great to share actual evidence that things are not always perfect! Your kids are, though.
P.s. I read the post about your airport experience last night and was SO freaking angry at what they put people through just to get on a plane. I mean, really. Like the young couple with four young kids is going to be hiding a bomb in the baby's carseat. SO stupid!

  2. Do you have hidden cameras somewhere in my house?! I think these are pictures of MY life today...except I was peeling apples this morning instead of baking bread.

  3. I have three comments:
    1. Can you send me Addie's autograph?
    2. Did Brody find any money in that couch?
    3. Best part about being a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) is staying in your jammies all day if you want!

    MISS YOU ANGIE!

  4. Are you trying to show off with the bread;) I stay in my pj's many a day and I love Martha Speaks. And on your trip...how many times did you hear "You sure do have your hands full"?

  5. Great idea. This is the stuff we are going to miss. We are going to crave hearing Martha's voice!

  7. I'm cracking up at handing out autographs to imaginary people. That is hilarious. I have a 9 yr old niece that writes me notes all the time that are signed, "Save this signature. It will be worth a lot one day". Funny.

No matter how hectic the day, something baking in the oven gives a feeling of peace :)
